Conduct

The Promenade Bolingbrook, including its buildings, landscaped areas, roadways, sidewalks, and parking fields, is private property. In conjunction with any visitation to The Promenade Bolingbrook, the owner thereof requires compliance with the following Code of Conduct to help ensure the enjoyment, health, safety, and welfare of all patrons of The Promenade Bolingbrook while visiting the Center and to protect the Center’s legitimate business interests.

  • The use of obscene language, obscene gestures, or racial, religious, or ethnic slurs is prohibited.
  • Behavior that is disorderly conduct, disruptive, or that endangers others is prohibited.
  • Defacing, damaging, or destroying any property is prohibited.
  • Littering is prohibited.
  • Running and using skates, skateboards, scooters, hoverboards, bicycles, e-bikes, and the like are prohibited, as well as forms of “horseplay”, loitering, obstructing or interfering with the free flow of customer traffic.
  • Fighting, harassment, shouting, offending others, sexually explicit language, or provoking confrontations is prohibited.
  • Use of any property improperly or unsafely is prohibited.
  • All patrons must be fully clothed and cannot wear indecent, inappropriate, or gang-related attire. Clothing must adequately cover the body. Visible undergarments are not permitted, and sagging pants that expose undergarments are not allowed.
  • Clothing or masks that obscure the face are prohibited unless worn for legitimate cultural, religious, or medical reasons.
  • Loud behavior, the playing of musical instruments or audio devices, loitering, and blocking store entrances, walkways, fire exits, and escalators/elevators are prohibited.
  • The possession of any items that could be used as a weapon or in any way to inflict bodily injury on another person or damage to property, including but not limited to firearms (even if legally owned in accord with Illinois law), explosives, fireworks, knives, clubs, or sticks is prohibited. The foregoing prohibition shall not apply to the legitimate use of umbrellas, canes, or walkers necessary to enable mobility and medical devices for their intended purpose.
  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the Center’s buildings. Hookahs are strictly prohibited anywhere within the Center. Guests who smoke or vape must be at least 25 feet away from any building entrance within the center and away from non-smoking guests.
  • The illegal possession, use, and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances is prohibited. The legal consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted only in designated areas.
  • All guests are required to leave the interior common areas once the Center closes for business each evening.
  • Promenade security will disperse all gatherings of guests of three or more if/when needed.
  • Seating areas are to be used for shopping breaks not to exceed 30 minutes.
  • Picketing, leafleting, soliciting, and/or petitioning require the prior written consent of Center Management.
  • Dogs and service animals are welcome. All permitted pets and certified animals must be leashed and under the owner’s control at all times, and the owner must clean up after such pets and certified animals.
  • Photographing, videotaping, and/or filming require the prior written consent of Center Management.
  • Sitting on floors, planters, handrails, artwork, escalators, stairs, trash receptacles, or other areas not specifically designed for seating is prohibited. Benches, chairs, and seating areas are for sitting only.
  • School truancy policies are strictly enforced.
  • No unauthorized overnight parking or camping is permitted.
  • Any unattended bags are subject to search and possible seizure.
  • Any activity inconsistent with the general use and purpose of The Promenade Bolingbrook, which use and purpose is patronage visits to retail stores, health and fitness facilities, restaurants, theaters, and other entertainment venues or offices, is prohibited.
  • Any activity that would disrupt the legitimate business of the property and its tenants is prohibited.
  • Any person who fails to comply with the request of Center Management or Security may be asked to leave the Center.

Pet Code of Conduct

  • Pets must be leashed and under the owner’s control at all times while on Promenade Bolingbrook property (including the parking lot).
  • Pets must be licensed, immunized, and comply with all state and local regulations.
  • Pet owners may not leave pets unattended at any time.
  • Pet owners must clean up after their pets.
  • Pet owners not respecting the pet code of conduct will be asked to leave Promenade Bolingbrook property.

Your entry to The Promenade Bolingbrook constitutes your agreement to abide by the above Code of Conduct. Violating this Code of Conduct may result in expulsion from the Center and/or legal action as Center Management deems appropriate.
