MORE SUMMER FUN SLATED AT THE PROMENADE BOLINGBROOK
Art Shows and Street Markets to be held on Thursday Nights
BOLINGBROOK, IL – May 30, 2023. To complement the Summer Concert Series on Thursday nights at The Promenade Bolingbrook, Arts on The Row will comprise of local artists selling original art pieces during the summer concert series.
From 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on the first Thursday in June, July, and August, Arts on the Row, sponsored by the Bolingbrook Arts Council, will be displaying and selling unique art pieces created by local artists. This is a great opportunity to view creative works of artists who live in the community and pick up an interesting piece for your home or office while supporting the local art community. The members of the Arts Council are passionate about showcasing local talent and celebrating the diversity of the community.
Conversely, on the last Thursday of each month, a Street Market will be held along both sides of Sandburg Way with more than 65 booths selling unusual, some one-of a kind item, independent merchants and grab-and-go type foods. Some of the vendors include Treats and Paws, The Trendy Bumpkin, Teas 2 Love, Color Street and Jess’s Paper Goods. The Bleuer Family Farms, from Lisbon, Illinois will sell fresh produce, beef, pork, chicken, eggs, honey, and more.
“The addition of the art show and street market will enhance the appeal of our summer concert series,” said Steven Yee, general manager of The Promenade Bolingbrook. “Coupled with the wide variety of stores and restaurants, the Summer Concert Series at The Promenade Bolingbrook is the place to be on Thursday nights this summer.”
The Promenade Bolingbrook will be distributing complimentary coupon booklets from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday nights near the Prince Arcade. This coupon booklet contains exclusive discounts to participating retailers at the center. The coupons are single use and the booklet is valid for one year.
